Joe Adams, President, M2 Systems

Joe Adams has over 25 years experience in the information technology and healthcare industries. Mr. Adams has successfully held senior level positions ranging from vice president to President and chief executive officer in companies specializing in healthcare insurance, EDI, electronic commerce, and enterprise application integration markets. He has extensive business and technical experience in providing leadership, direction, and management of a successful organization.

Mr. Adams has prior senior executive experience working at companies such as Muscato Corporation, a multi-million dollar global organization specializing in financial interoperability for banks and financial institutions along with administrative and financial interoperability for the health care market; a Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plan doing over $500M in annual revenues; an Application Services Provider company that offered electronic commerce solutions for the health insurance payer market; and a company that offered electronic claims processing solutions.

He was one of the principals responsible for the strategic vision, design, and implementation of a national company that offered a transaction network/system for the use of e-commerce, electronic data interchange and financial transactions in the health care industry. He was also an officer on the board of directors.

Leslie Purdy, SVP Technical Services

Ms. Purdy has over 27 years of IT experience, with 20 years in Healthcare in both the provider and payer space. Ms. Purdy has held senior management positions in several healthcare software and hospital companies managing application development and EDI business development functions.

Currently Senior Vice President of Technical Services at M2 Systems Corporation, a provider of Elite Software Engineering solutions and developer of the "ENGIN" software, an enterprise application integration tool kit that also supports the Healthcare payer market for claims clearinghouse solutions. Additionally, Ms. Purdy is the product manager responsible for the Healthcare application requirements for the Healthcare vertical application. This includes the design and implementation of new products and features based on strategic business requirements.

Michael Miller, CTO

Mike Miller has over 30 years of experience both in management and technology across a number of settings.

Prior to joining M2 Systems Corporation, Mr. Miller was a senior technical advisor specializing in EAI/EDI technologies and advanced technical architectures with one of the leading providers of consulting services. He has also served as a chief technology officer, participating in strategic planning, guiding the selection of technology, and coordinating overall product life cycle planning.

Mr. Miller has written articles on use of the internet in healthcare and has spoken on the topic of the internet, EAI, and the use of XML at various technical conferences across the nation. His early adaptation of Microsoft portal technologies was featured at a Windows on Healthcare conference during Bill Gates keynote address.

Mr. Miller led the ground up development of the M2 Financial product suite which includes M2 Globalís authENGIN product.

Randy Oveson, BS MBA, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Oveson started his career in 1987 as a Financial Analyst with Suite Thinking, Inc., a boutique hospitality consulting firm in Newport Beach, CA. There Mr. Oveson developed systems and processes used to analyze dozens of hotels in various operational categories. Mr. Oveson also acted as liaison between hotel owners and management companies, meeting with each monthly and utilizing the proprietary systems developed he was able to increase the profitability of all hotels placed in the Suite Thinking portfolio.

Upon completion of his MBA at Pepperdine University in 1989 Mr. Oveson was offered the position of VP of Finance and Technology of Osar, Ltd., a hotel management company, where Mr. Oveson oversaw the acquisition, asset and financial management, and human resources of 5 hotels through 1994. From 1994 to 1998 he pursued various start-up opportunities in the aerospace, manufacturing, brokerage, and action sports industries where he acted as CFO and in some cases CFO and CIO of these start-up ventures. In 1998 he joined In Touch Communications, Inc. a leader in prepaid home phone service, located in Lake Forest, CA. There Mr. Oveson helped the company grow to become the largest alternative home dial-tone company in the State.

He has now spent ten years in the rapidly growing prepaid industry. He has been instrumental in the business development of prepaid telecommunications, stored-value, and electronic bill payment companies. Mr. Oveson has worked with TransFirst, a multi-billion dollar merchant processing group, as AVP of Business Development leading the product development and sales of prepaid debit cards, prepaid telecommunication products, prepaid open-loop gift cards, money remittance, and electronic bill-pay products. During this time Mr. Oveson has also directed the start-up company, Debit Resources, which provides IVR and telecommunication services in support of Prepaid Stored Value cards issued through numerous prepaid processors. In 2005 Mr. Oveson joined M2 Systems/Symmetrex as CFO where his skills and knowledge of the prepaid industry helped the Symmetrex processing company through a significant growth phase and sale.

Craig R. Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer, M2 Global

Craig R. Taylor is Chief Marketing Officer for M2 Global. Mr. Taylor has over 20 years of leadership experience that includes Fortune 50 corporations as well as several technology-driven consulting and solutions firms where he held executive roles in marketing, sales and consulting.

At Walt Disney Company, in his role as the Director of Disney Institute Sales and Marketing, he guided the rapid growth of Disney’s popular business seminars at Walt Disney World. Also at Disney, he served as the Director of Marketing for Walt Disney World’s expansive group and convention business.

Mr. Taylor has served as Vice President of Marketing for Click2Learn/SumTotal Systems, a top learning management system supplier and one of Paul Allen’s Wired World companies, and as Chief Marketing Officer for AchieveGlobal, one of the world’s largest sales training organizations. Most recently, he was Sr. Vice President of Marketing for TalentKeepers, a global, web-based talent management firm. Earlier in his career he was a consulting and sales executive for Wilson Learning Corporation and also worked in leadership development at American Express Company.

Craig has chaired the editorial advisory board for an industry magazine and is an award-winning columnist and features writer. He is a frequent conference speaker and presenter. Craig holds a B.A. degree in Psychology, and M.Ed. and Ed.S. degrees in counseling psychology, all from the University of Florida.

Mark Davis, VP Healthcare Product Development

In management and executive roles covering product development and implementation, Mark Davis has worked for over 20 years to enable the integration of electronic commerce into financial and healthcare organizations. He has been a senior consultant in healthcare revenue cycle software and strategies, assisting health plans and providers nationwide in establishing direct EDI connections with their trading partners. Most recently, Mr. Davis has rejoined M2 Systems Corporation with a mission to develop high performance HIPAA transaction solutions for the healthcare markets.

Beginning as a technologist with financial interchanges in the 1980's Mr. Davis has developed both customer facing networks and integrated these transactions into line of business systems. Starting in 1992 he was a key architect and development lead of the ENGIN product that was one of the first to implement a HL7 clinical information exchange hub. The ENGIN mapping and translation technology invented by Mr. Davis remains in use by Global 2000 companies.

While with the M2 predecessor company Muscato Corporation, Mr. Davis had the opportunity to work closely with health plan executives to address the design and implementation of HIPAA transaction solutions for BCBS Association member plans. This experience combined with a broad background in large scale online transaction processing solutions offers a valuable resource for organizations exchanging and integrating electronic healthcare transactions.

Michael Besner, Global Account Management

Michael Besner joined the M2 predecessor company Muscato Corporation in 1995. Over the past 13 years working in the enterprise application integration market, he has been responsible for both global customer acquisition and managing C-level relationships with clients worldwide in the Financial Services, Healthcare and Logistics markets. Mr. Besner has been successful leveraging these valuable relationships to develop new business, identify high opportunity accounts and retaining a dedicated, international client base who fit strategically with our corporate vision and plan as M2ís rapid global expansion continues.

Sue Rose, AuthENGIN Program Manager

Sue is the Program Manager of AuthENGIN for M2 Systems. Responsibilities include defining business rules for the Development group in accordance with ISO 8583 standards, testing of the business rules once the code is in place, documenting process and procedure and configuration and support of the AuthENGIN application. Sue has over 20 years experience in the EFT arena. She worked for the NYCE Network [now Metavante/M&I] with a satellite office in Western N.Y. for 18 years starting in Accounting, before being promoted to Accounting Manager and then moving over to the IT department where she held Management positions in Database and Production Support. In 2005, Sue and her family moved to Florida where she held a position with Certegy [now Fidelity National Information Systems] as Database and Certification Manager. Shortly after she began contracting for M2 to assist in the creation of the authENGIN application and became full-time in 2007.

Sue attended Medaille College where her focus was Accounting and Computer Science and has attended numerous training and management classes throughout her career.

Kathey Ellenberger, AcqENGIN Program Manager

Kathy currently serves as Program Manager - acqENGIN. She has 11 years experience in the payment card industry. Her career began in 1998 with Digital Courier Technologies Inc. where she managed and processed exceptions for DCTI's high risk merchant Acquiring portfolio. In 2002 she accepted a position with Symmetrex Inc. managing their acquiring portfolio as well as assisting with the Card issuing implementation. She was promoted in 2007 by Symmetrex to manage all development for acquiring applications. Kathy joined M2 Systems in 2008.

Kathy's responsibilities include merchant set-up and testing, documenting acquiring processes and procedures, and providing technical support for acqENGIN.

Linda L. Collins, Controller

Ms. Collins has been with M2 Systems Corporation since 1995.  She began as the Payroll Administrator and quickly took on the Accounts Payable duties, assisting the Controller.  Additional duties were taken on when Accounts Receivable were added to her growing list of responsibilities. Today, Linda manages the day-to-day accounting operations including banking, receivables, payables, and general office management. She also takes responsibility for Human Resource functions and ensures the care of every employee and contractor.

Since 1985, Ms.Collins has worked in finance, accounting, and human resources bringing her military experience in managing a battalion size company Personnel Assistance Center, she has the unique ability to multi-task along with organizational skills, leadership, honesty, integrity, and the ability to work with people from different backgrounds. Linda is a valuable asset to M2 Systems and her dedication is exemplary. 

Perry Rhodes, Director, Network Services

Perry Rhodes serves as Director, Network Systems for M2 Systems Corporation. As director, he designs, architects and provides L4 Support of 3Com- based Routers, Switches, Gateways, Security Solutions, Wireless Solutions and Network Management Solutions across WAN/LAN. Most of his responsibilities have included:

  • Designs, architects and provides L4 Support for network security functions such as maintain 3Com core environment.
  • Provides recommendations on architectural changes and design enhancements to the infrastructure to improve reliably and performance, reduce cost, and anticipate Company growth and acquisition.
  • Creates / updates policies, procedures, and documentation to adapt to new technologies and business requirements. Maintains detailed knowledge of company network standards and the overall local, regional and global network environments
  • Plans and assists in the design and implementation of networking infrastructures (cabling, terminations, patch panels) related to data, voice and video communications.

Perry began his career in IT in 1994 in the Navy's Nuclear Power training School during his last tour in the Navy. From 1994 - 1997, he was in charge of administration servicing of a LAN with over 600 users which included servers for UNIX, Banyan Vines, Windows NT & Novell Netware systems. His expertise ranges servers desktops to printers networking devices.

Perry has completed certifications from various industry leaders such as IBM, Microsoft, Citrix, Novell CompTIA

Diego Jarrin, Director of Portal Development

Diego Jarrin is a Software Engineer with over eighteen years of experience in Software and Web Applications Design and Development and six years of experience in the payment processing and prepaid card industry. Diego currently holds the position of Director of Portal Development in M2 Systems and previously he was Director of Software Development under First Pay Ltd., before its acquisition by M2 Global. His responsibilities include the design and development of the Web Portals that access the family of applications of M2 Systems, which include the Web Portals for the issuing (authENGIN) and acquiring (acqENGIN) platforms, utilizing the highest standards of PCI compliance web application development guidelines. Before joining First Pay and M2 Systems, Diego worked in the payments processing industry as Coordinator ofSoftware Development for Digital Courier Technologies Inc. (DCTI), based in Clearwater, Florida.

Diego has a M.S. in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University, and a B.A.in Computer Science and Economics from the College of Wooster. Diego also has a M.A. in Social Research from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and has extensive experience designing web surveys and performing statistical data analysis, having worked as a Software Engineer at the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Social and Urban Research and at the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research.
